Meet Daniella Dayoub Forrest
Functional Health & Wellness Coach
A Non-Linear Path
My path into health and wellness wasn’t linear, and it wasn’t planned.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Textile Science and Retail Management and spent years working long hours in high-end retail leadership with brands like TSE Cashmere and Kenneth Cole.
During that time, I became certified as a personal trainer in what little spare time I had, simply because I loved the work.
Eventually, I made a decision that surprised a lot of people. I left a well-paying corporate role to train clients part-time and hostess at a restaurant to make ends meet. Within months, I was fully booked as a trainer and never looked back.
Betting on Myself
When the market crashed in 2008 and the gym I worked at shut down almost overnight, I went out on my own.
A few years later, I opened my own fitness studio in Mountain View, where I built a thriving in-person practice and mentored other trainers running their own businesses.
Along the way, I continued my education. I completed my studies with the National Institute of Whole Health in 2010 — the same year I became a mother. In 2017, I completed my Functional Diagnostic Nutrition training, expanding my work beyond exercise into deeper metabolic, hormonal, and systems-based health.
The Pivot
The pandemic marked another turning point. Like many small business owners, everything I had built shut down quickly.
I pivoted to online coaching, transitioned fully into health-focused work, and finally had the space to write my book, Own Your Wellness. That period reshaped not only my business, but my understanding of health itself.
Living What I Now Teach
Looking back, many of the symptoms I experienced over the last decade — Raynaud’s, chilblains, chronic joint pain, dry eyes, foggy thinking — were early signs of perimenopause.
I was living the same confusion many of my clients now face, without realizing what my body was asking for.
That lived experience changed how I practice.
Where I Stand Now
Today, my work sits at the intersection of experience, education, and lived understanding.
I bring together movement, nutrition, functional testing, and real-world context — not because it’s trendy, but because it’s what works when bodies change and old strategies stop making sense.
This work is personal to me. It’s also deeply practical.
